Community-Led
True change happens when the community holds the reins. We centre the voices, wisdom, and leadership of African and Caribbean peoples in designing solutions for food insecurity.
The African and Caribbean Heritage Food Network advances food sovereignty in practice — through convening, policy engagement, research, education, and community-rooted action.

Instead of framing our approach as separate tabs, these pillars read as one connected sequence: people first, culture held in view, and systems challenged where they block food sovereignty.

We ground our work in heritage, lived experience, and intergenerational knowledge systems that have sustained communities for centuries.
We engage policy, research, and institutions to create structural change that dismantles the barriers to food sovereignty for our communities.
