Listening to the Land & ORFC

Three days in Oxford connecting land-based practice with wider food systems organising.

On 7th January, ACHFN took part in Listening to the Land Day, a focused gathering held ahead of the Oxford Real Farming Conference. On 8th and 9th January, ACHFN continued into ORFC, joining wider conversations with growers, organisers, researchers, campaigners, and movement partners working for fairer food and farming systems.

Soulful Places Wellbeing Festival

A wellbeing day at Glengall Wharf Garden for Black African and Caribbean elders, with food, storytelling, self-care, and time in the garden.

On the 17th of September 2025, 30 Black African and Caribbean elders came together at Glengall Wharf Garden in Peckham for the Soulful Places Wellbeing Festival. The day included a garden tour, urban farming activities, a self-care workshop, storytelling, reflection, and shared meals.

ACHFN joined movements from around the world at the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum for Food Sovereignty in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

From 6th to the 13th September 2025, ACHFN took part in the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The gathering brought together more than 700 delegates from over 100 countries after a multi-year consultation process, connecting ACHFN’s UK Black food justice work with international struggles for land, food sovereignty, and dignity.
